The Kestrel® Interface is the ideal companion
to the Kestrel® 4000 series units (Kestrel 4000, 4200, 4250,
4300, 4500). With the optional computer interface,
data can be uploaded for long-term storage, in-depth analysis and
detailed charting.
Simply connect the interface cable to the
appropriate port on your PC, rest the Kestrel® on the cradle, and
upload your stored data. The included software is easy to use and
saves the data in a comma delimited text file for use in your choice
of applications: text editor, spreadsheet or database.
The Kestrel® Interface is now available with
either a Serial Port connection or USB Port connection.
ROTATING VANE MOUNT
The Kestrel Portable Vane Mount is an ingeniously simple accessory
designed for extreme light weight and portability. The Vane Mount
assembles in seconds and the precision pivot and lightweight vane
extension allows the unit to spin freely in the slightest of
breezes. The incorporated level ensures that the Vane Mount is
installed correctly and that direction readings will be accurate.
Employ the correct Kestrel model for your needs - extensive data can be collected including wind speed and direction,
much more.
Together, the Kestrel unit and Vane Mount weigh
less than 8 ounces (227 g.) and pack into a compact 2 x 6 inch (5 x
15.25 cm) case. The Vane Mount can be affixed to any tripod.
COLLAPSIBLE TRIPOD
Clamp any Kestrel into this sturdy but lightweight
tripod to take readings in the field. The tripod’s legs extend to
permit a maximum height of 10", and a minimum of 6". Ultra-compact
and portable, it folds to just 7.5” and weighs 4.8 oz. For further
options, the top clamp detaches and is compatible with any tripod
with a standard tripod mount (1/4" 20 thread fitting). Comes with a
padded carry pouch.
KESTREL DESIGNER CASE
This case is available in black and is
designed to expose the sensors, allowing the Kestrel 4000 to
continue logging accurate readings. It is constructed of a sturdy
triple laminate of polyurethane, vinyl and nylon with neoprene
rubber sides to hold the Kestrel 4000 snugly.
The patented NiteIze™ clip on the back is a nylon/fiberglass
composite that is accommodated on up to a 2 1/4" belt, and also
attaches securely over waistband. Includes a strong hook and loop
strap to allow for easy mounting on a backpack or harness strap.
