(The earliest version of the Meteos has been discontinued and
replaced with this completely redesigned, more durable and
more versatile model).
The large rotating cups will measure a breeze from under 1.0 mph to
the strongest winds. (available mid-2009). The unit
does NOT have to be held facing the wind to produce an
accurate reading.
The unit has an aluminum base with a thread allowing mounting on a tripod.
